Who stands behind the site

RSABet belongs to Sandpiperline Media B.V., registered at Emancipatie Boulevard Dominico F. "Don" Martina 31, Willemstad, Curaçao. The company pays the writers, signs the contracts with bookmakers and answers for what is published. One mailbox handles legal notices, corrections and privacy requests alike: [email protected].

A guide, not a bookmaker

Nobody places a bet on this site. We hold no player funds, set no odds, run no casino games and pay out no winnings. Each button marked as an operator link sends you to a separate company, and whatever you do there happens under that company's terms, with its own licence (or lack of one) and its own customer service. Payout delays and locked accounts happen out of our sight, and RSABet has no lever to release either.

The same goes for regulators. RSABet is not a gambling board, holds no gambling licence and cannot certify anyone. When a review says a bookmaker is licensed, it means we found that licence in the public record on the day of our last check, printed under the review heading; it is not an endorsement and it can lapse.

The legal position for South African players

Under the National Gambling Act of 2004, sports betting online is offered in South Africa by bookmakers that hold a provincial licence, but no province issues licences for online casino games such as slots and roulette. Several sites covered on our casino pages are based offshore. Reading about them here does not make them lawful for you, and the choice to sign up is yours alone. If you are unsure, check the operator's licence number with the board of your province before you register.

Age

Betting in South Africa is legal only from your eighteenth birthday, and RSABet writes for readers past that age as well. Bookmakers run FICA checks before paying out; an account opened with someone else's ID, or by a minor, will be closed and the balance held.

How far our figures go

Sign-up bonuses, playthrough rules, deposit minimums, withdrawal speeds and the payment options listed for each brand (Ozow, Capitec Pay, EFT, vouchers, cards) come from the bookmaker's published terms as worded when our editor last looked. Bookmakers rewrite promotions often, sometimes overnight and usually without telling affiliates. If the two ever differ, only the bookmaker's wording binds you.

Our numbers are therefore a first look only. Prior to funding an account, read the bookmaker's own promotion page, confirm that the offer still exists, that your payment method also works for withdrawals, and that the account runs in rand. A good review describes how a site behaved when we tested it, not how it will treat your next withdrawal.

What a rating means

A score sums up what the reviewer found in the terms, the cashier and the support desk at the time of writing. Another player may meet different verification requests, limits or delays, especially on large withdrawals or with a different payment method. Scores are not a forecast of how any operator will treat you, and a high one does not mean a site carries no risk. Read the negatives listed in each review with the same care as the positives. Scores can move later, once a site is rechecked or readers report fresh problems.

Spotted a mistake?

Bookmakers change faster than any editor can follow, so reader reports matter. If a bonus has disappeared, a payment method no longer works or a licence number does not match the board's register, mail the link plus a short note of the problem to [email protected]. We compare the claim with the operator's own pages, fix the text when it is wrong and move the check date. Criticism is not removed because an operator asks, and a correction we cannot confirm is not published.

Tips, predictions and odds explanations

Our match previews and weekend picks are opinions. They are built on form, team news and market prices, and they are wrong a good part of the time; that is the nature of sport. Strategy guides explain how markets and bonus maths work but do not make losses less likely. Nothing on RSABet is legal, tax or financial advice. Questions about tax on winnings, contracts with an operator or debt belong with a qualified professional in your area.

Commission and what it touches

RSABet earns money when readers open accounts through our operator links. Those agreements are part of how we decide which brands appear in a list and how high they sit, so the order of a top-five table is not a neutral ranking. Money has no say over what a review reports: the licence status, the payment methods, the wagering terms and the problems we found are written the same way for brands that pay us and brands that do not. The full explanation is in the How We Make Money section of About Us.

Where the responsibility of Sandpiperline Media B.V. ends

Our editors double-check facts and fix mistakes once someone points them out. Beyond that, the company does not carry:

  • money lost at a bookmaker or casino, including accounts opened through our links;
  • an operator refusing a payout, voiding a bet, cancelling a bonus or closing an account;
  • outages of this site or a figure that changed between two of our checks;
  • the content, cookies or security of any outside website we link to.

None of this overrides consumer rights that South African law, the Consumer Protection Act included, grants and no contract can waive.

Leaving RSABet

Links to bookmakers, payment providers, gambling boards and news outlets take you off this site. From that point the privacy rules, terms and safety of the other site are its owner's business. A dispute about a bet or a payment goes first to the operator's complaints process and then, if it holds a licence, to the body that issued it.

Brand names and logos

Logos of bookmakers, casinos, game studios, banks and wallets appear so that you can recognise who we are writing about. They remain the property of those companies, and showing them implies no partnership beyond what the commission section describes. Copyright in RSABet's own writing, tables and artwork lies with Sandpiperline Media B.V.; citing a paragraph and linking to it is welcome, copying whole reviews is not.

Keeping betting in proportion

Betting should cost what a night out costs and no more. Decide a budget before you log in, leave money for bills untouched, and close the app when that amount runs out rather than reloading to chase it. Deposit caps, cooling-off breaks and self-exclusion are available inside the profile menu at most South African bookmakers. If betting is causing arguments, debt or secrecy, call the free counselling number listed in our footer, or read our responsible gambling guide.

When this page changes

The check date under the heading moves whenever this notice is edited, and the copy at this address is the current one. Two related pages, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, complete it; they set the rules for using RSABet and describe what it logs.
