Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Preview
The Clippers have another tough game coming up when they head to the Chase Center in San Francisco to take on the Warriors. They just showed everyone what they’re made of by beating the Lakers 112-102, and they did it without Paul George. It was also Kawhi Leonard’s first game in a Clippers jersey after leaving the champs, the Toronto Raptors.
Kawhi put up 30 points and grabbed 6 boards to help the Clippers get the win. Next up, he and the squad will take on the Warriors on October 24 in a big Western Conference matchup. Golden State is rolling into the season opener after getting beat by the Lakers in the preseason.
LA Clippers vs GS Warriors Predictions
The Warriors are about to play their first real game since losing the Finals and watching Kevin Durant head off to Brooklyn. They’d love to kick things off with a win in their new digs at the Oakland Arena, but they’ll have to do it without Klay, who’s still rehabbing his knee. Also missing are Andre Iguodala, Quinn Cook, and Shaun Livingston. So it’s basically up to Draymond Green and Steph Curry to carry the load and put up some big numbers.
Los Angeles Clippers: New Kings of LA
Everyone said the Clippers vs. Lakers game would be the first big test for the West since both teams threw around tons of cash to upgrade their rosters. After the game, the Clippers are the ones sitting on top for now. Beating a banged-up Warriors squad would basically lock in their spot as the new top dogs in L.A. The preseason showed that GS still has some holes on defense, especially when it comes to guarding the bigger guys. Looney and Green are hoping they can play way better against Kawhi this time. Leonard’s stats are still just as crazy good as they were when he won the title last year.
The Clippers are the clear favorites to win, according to the top basketball betting sites in South Africa. Even though the Warriors have home-court advantage, it probably won’t be enough to shift what the oddsmakers think.
